Overview

Cliffson Solutions, LLC, is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our visitors, our clients, their data, and their customers. This policy describes the information we may collect and how that information will and will not be used.

Scope

This policy applies to the Web sites www.cliffson.com and www.cliffsonsolutions.com. By default this policy also applies to all other sites hosted on our servers, although specific sites may have their own privacy policies which take precedence.

Information Gathering and Logging

Our Web servers automatically log network (IP) addresses, browser type, dates and times, search terms, and page and file names when our pages are accessed. However, we do not correlate IP addresses to individuals, and visitors remain anonymous unless they choose to identify themselves by other means.

Some of the forms on our Web site request personally identifiable information (known as PII), which may include name, e-mail, postal address, phone number, and credit card information. Surveys and questionnaires may also request gender, demographic, and ethnic information. We will only ask for this information for specific purposes and when it is necessary and justified. We do not require personal information from our visitors without a good reason to do so.

We may also record names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information in conjunction with normal correspondence with clients and visitors for the purposes of maintaining and tracking that correspondence.

Cliffson Solutions, LLC, is a registered subscriber of Google Analytics, which utilizes browser "cookies" to provide Web traffic analysis on its Web sites. These cookies are used only to collect anonymous traffic data, and no individually identifiable information is tracked or stored. For more information, check Google's privacy statements. All traffic information collected by this service is restricted to use within Cliffson Solutions, LLC, for planning and analysis purposes. Visitors may chose to block these cookies using appropriate options in their browsers.

Visitors are not allowed to complete Web forms, register e-mail addresses, or provide PII on behalf of anyone besides themselves.

Use of Information

The Cliffson Solutions Web team uses Web access logs and traffic statistics to tailor content and navigational tools to visitors, ensuring our pages work correctly across a broad range of modern browsers, operating systems, and display resolutions. This information may also be used for troubleshooting purposes and other normal server maintenance and security activities by the company's system administrator.

Browser "cookies" are small text files which may be exchanged between Web servers and browsers. Some of our forms and features use such cookies for session management, particularly in areas where user authentication and access controls are implemented. However, all sensitive information, including PII, is kept on the servers and is not included in the cookies. These cookies unique to our services and have no meaning or use outside our sites. Visitors may choose to configure their browsers to reject cookies, but this may affect their ability to use some features or services on our sites. Most modern browsers also allow existing cookies to be deleted at any time.

Personal information is accessible to Cliffson Solutions employees on a strict need-to-know basis. These individuals are bound by confidentiality agreements. Distributing this information outside the company is strictly prohibited without the knowledge and permission of the visitor or user. This means we do not sell, rent, trade, or lease any personal information, including e-mail addresses, to outside entities. The only two exceptions are when we collect information on behalf of a client and that fact is clearly stated on the form asking for the information, or when we are legally required to do so by subpoenas, warrant, court orders, or comparable legal processes.

Credit card information is never transmitted via e-mail, FTP, or other insecure transmission methods.

E-mail addresses from subscriptions for newsletters or other electronic mailings are not exposed to other recipients and are not used for any other purpose than that for which the addresses were collected. All such mailings always include an unsubscribe link so recipients can easily remove their addresses from future mailings.

Contact information resulting from correspondence between Cliffson Solutions employees and visitors that is not part of an ongoing business relationship will be used solely to maintain that communication. In other words, dropping us an e-mail does not automatically result in your being added to our newsletters or other mailings without your permission.

Survey or questionnaire information, unless clearly stated otherwise on the Web form, is treated as confidential and anonymous. Results are provided only to the client who commissioned the survey. We reserve the right to redact PII that may be included in written comments or responses if we deem its inclusion is inappropriate.

All client information, including their relationships with us, is confidential. Public references to past and current clients, including links to their sites, is prohibited unless granted by written permission from those clients.

User names, account names, and e-mail addresses, as well as any additional information the user chooses to post, may be visible in some discussion forums and project tracking features on our servers. Users may not be able to change or remove such information once it is posted. Such information may be used by other visitors without our knowledge to send unsolicited messages. Cliffson Solutions, LLC, is not responsible for any consequences which may result from a user's decision to use these services or post PII on them.
